2nd Annual Art Auction

Everyone is invited to attend our 2nd Annual Art Auction.  It will be held in the Trigg County Middle School Gym.  Please use the front entrance of the Middle School by bus drop off.  This will be a silent auction and there will be bid sheets beside each piece of artwork that will be labeled with the class name (It will be the teacher’s name that they go with to explore.), students involved and a starting bid.  We will have three rounds at the auction.  We will have the artwork displayed and set up on tables with different color table cloths.  Each color will represent an end time for those classroom projects.  For example: if your child’s class project is on a blue table cloth the bidding will end at 6:15.  Below you will find a chart with information regarding each classrooms bid time.  We wanted to make this easier by letting each parent know when their students work would be selling that night.

"Every Kid in a Park"  is a program that lets all 4th graders and their families get into national parks and other public lands places for free. The Nature Station and Homeplace are both participating, meaning that this free admission is good here!  It is really a fantastic program, but not a lot of people seem to know about it.

All people need to do to take advantage of it is to go to the Every Kid in a Park website, complete a simple educational activity, and print out their free pass. Then, they present this pass at the park they visit, and the 4th grader and their immediate family get in for free!

This is part of an effort by the federal government to encourage more families, especially from diverse backgrounds who might not usually go to parks, to take advantage of public lands and outdoor opportunities.

You can find out more details from LBL's press release from last fall:
